Choosing a default site language

This topic explains how to define the default site language that users are presented with.

This is configured under Settings - Behavior - Localization in the FotoWeb site configuration.

When is the default language used?

The FotoWeb client user interface supports several languages. When a client connects to the site, FotoWeb receives the client browser's language setting and, if a matching locale file exists on the server, the localized user interface will be sent to the browser. However, if the client's browser language cannot be matched with any of the available translations of FotoWeb, FotoWeb will deliver the locale you set as default on this page.

Forcing FotoWeb to always use only one specific language

If you want FotoWeb to always deliver a preset language regardless of the connecting client's browser language, you can enable Enforce default localizer and choose the user interface language that should be delivered.
