Adding new terms to a taxonomy
Note: You have to be a site administrator to edit taxonomies.
Open an archive that has taxonomy navigation enabled. Then click on the Filters tab in the left side panel to show the archive's taxonomies. As a site administrator you also get controls to add new terms and children and edit the properties of the defined terms.
- To add a root term, click on the + next to the taxonomy's header.
- Type in the entry and press Enter to add it. Continue in the same way to add taxonomy entries at the same level.
- To create a child item to an existing entry, click on the + icon. This creates a new, lower level in the hierarchy.
If you already have a working taxonomy you wish to edit, you can navigate to the correct node in the hierarchy and click the + at that level to add a child item.
Having added content to the taxonomy you may need to edit the behavior of the taxonomy items you have created.
