Mac users: to use the Fotoware plugin in Photoshop with Apple Silicon, you must run Photoshop with Rosetta.

After installing the Fotoware plugins, you can enable the Adobe Creative Cloud plugins.

We support the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud as well as the previous version. After Adobe releases a new update, it may take some time for us to update and test our plugins. We have released the Adobe 2025 compatible plugins for Photoshop and Illustrator to the CDN. They can be downloaded through the FotoWeb desktop plugin. InDesign is still on it's way.

Right-click the Fotoware tray icon and choose Install Fotoware Extensions for Adobe CC...

Install FotoWare plugins using system tray icon.png

The installer checks if Photoshop, InDesign, or both are installed on the computer and installs extensions accordingly.

Note:

  • You need local administrative privileges on the computer to install the extension.
  • Before using the InDesign extension, your Fotoware site administrator must assign you InDesign Editor permissions. You also need Place permission on the archive from which you add content to InDesign.
  • To check out files from an archive in the Photoshop extension, you need Open access to the archives in question. Checking an asset back in on the server works without having explicit upload access to the archive. However, if you create new content in Photoshop, you will need Upload access to upload that file to Fotoware.

After installation, the extension is ready for use.
