Actions in Business Rules
Table of Contents
Some actions, including those related to Permission Sets, AI Tagging, and Layers, apply only to Content Items and cannot be used with List Items. However, available actions are not filtered according to the Trigger Point Document Type. This means you can configure a Business Rule for List Items that includes an action that isn't applicable to List Items. Fotoware Alto skips any actions that aren't applicable and continues with the valid actions in the Business Rule.
Assign Content Permission Sets action
Assigns Content Permission Sets to content, for example, to give suppliers access to specific content.
Assign Layer action
Assigns a specific layer to content when the conditions in the Business Rule are met. The layer must be available for the relevant content type, as configured using Available For in the layer settings.
Assign Tagbox Items action
Assigns a specific Tagbox item to a specified Tagbox field, for example to update copyright holders with creator information from Dublin Core. The layer containing the field must already be assigned to the content. If necessary, combine this action with Assign Layer and/or a Layer Assigned condition.
Assign Tagbox Items in Layer action
The AssignTagboxItemsinLayerAction assigns Tagbox Items from the defined cache to the corresponding Layer and the fields where the values can be added. This requires a cache of type SchemaTagboxFilterLookupNamedCacheConfiguration to be present.
Assign Value action
Assigns a specified value to a field, for example to update the copyright source with creator information from Dublin Core. The layer containing the field must already be assigned to the content. If necessary, combine this action with Assign Layer and/or a Layer Assigned condition.
Deprecated Enqueue Tagging action (AI tagging)
This deprecated action adds Content Items to the queue for automatic tagging. Editors can configure the tagging model, language code for tags, and match value (confidence value for tag prediction) in a layer. When that layer is assigned to Content Items, Fotoware Business Rules uses these settings when sending the items to Azure for processing.
For example, you can use the action to apply a layer for celebrity tagging or to flag potentially problematic content.
Enqueue Add Content Item to Shares
Automatically adds Content Items to specified shares when the conditions in a Business Rule are met. This can be useful for automatically distributing content via existing shares without requiring users to add content manually.
Enqueue Create Embed action
Automatically creates embeds for sharing content. This can be useful for integrations where a CMS requires an embed link, or for making content available through ads, social media, mailings, and other channels.
Enqueue Ownership action
The Enqueue Transfer Ownership Action transfers the ownership of a Content Item to the configured user of Fotoware Alto.
Enqueue Tagging action (AI Keywords, OCR, Object Detection) using Azure
Adds content to the queue for automatic tagging using Azure, including object detection and optical character recognition (OCR).
Get Number from Number Sequence action
Generates a number from a configured number sequence that can be used to create custom identifiers for content. These identifiers can provide a shorter, more convenient way for users and external systems to reference content.
Produce Message to External System action
Produces a message that Service Providers can receive through the API and use for further processing. For example, Content Items with approved tags and copyright information can be sent to an agency for further graphical processing.
Produce Notification action
Displays a notification when the Business Rule conditions are met. For example, notifications can inform users about new images, Content Items with approved copyright information, or recalled Content Items.
Unassign Content Permission Sets action
Removes Content Permission Sets from Content Items, for example, to remove a supplier's access to specific content.
Unassign Layer action
Removes a specific layer from content when the Business Rule conditions are met.
Unassign Tagbox Items action
Removes a specific Tagbox item from a specified Tagbox field, for example, to remove flagged-content tags from public keywords. The layer containing the field and Tagbox item must already be assigned to the content. If necessary, combine this action with a Layer Assigned Condition.
