Controlling which metadata is included in assets during download
How to manage the metadata that is included in downloaded assets.

When an asset is downloaded, either by a user or through the API, Fotoware delivers the file with its metadata. In some cases, you may want to exclude certain metadata from downloaded files. You can control this by selecting the metadata fields to include in downloads.
From the Tools menu (cogwheel icon), go to Site Configuration > Metadata > Metadata Setup.
Choosing metadata fields to include in downloads
The Include in downloads column determines which metadata fields are included in downloaded files. Clear the checkbox for any field whose metadata you want to exclude from downloads.

- If all fields are selected under Include in downloads, downloading the Original file through a processing profile delivers the file with all its original metadata, including metadata fields that are not listed in the metadata configuration. If one or more fields are not selected, Fotoware applies metadata filtering. Only selected fields are included in the downloaded file, and fields that are not listed in the metadata configuration are excluded.
- When a user selects a processing profile other than Original file, Fotoware also applies metadata filtering according to the fields selected under Include in downloads. Fields that are not listed in the metadata configuration are excluded.
