To associate assets in an archive with a consent form, you must enable Consent Management for the archive.

1. Go to Settings for the relevant archive.
2. Open the General tab. 
3. In the Basic settings section, turn on the Consent management toggle.
4. Select Save.  
   
   
    

Configuring Consent Management filters

After enabling Consent Management, you can configure how the consent filters are used in the archive. Consent filters can be used in two ways: 

• Navigation Pane filters – Allow users to filter archive content using available consent filters.
• Default filter – Automatically show only assets that match a selected consent filter.
  These options can be combined or used independently of each other, i.e., users can use Navigation Pane filtering even when no Consent Filter is assigned to the archive.
   

Show consent filters in the navigation pane

Enable this option in the Navigation Pane section to allow users to filter archive content based on consent information.
When enabled, consent filter options appear in the archive navigation pane, allowing users to refine results by consent status and consent category.

Apply a default consent filter

In the Filters section, select a consent filter from the dropdown list and select Save.
Users will only see assets that match the selected filter. This option is useful when the archive should contain only assets that meet specific consent requirements.

Consent filter and autosearch filter

Consent filters can be used together with an autosearch filter. 

This applies to both archive-level and access-list-based autosearch configurations.

Configuring Consent Management permissions

Access to different levels of Consent Management is set per archive, and you can assign a Consent Filter to individual users and groups in an archive's access list. A Consent Filter limits which assets are visible to the selected user or group based on predefined consent criteria. This makes it possible to grant different levels of access to assets depending on their consent status or consent categories.

1. Open the Access list for the archive.
2. Select the group or user whose access to Consent Management you would like to change, and choose one of the three permissions related to Consent Management:
   
   

• View consent summary - Gives the user/group access to view consent markers and consent status. 
• View consent details - Gives the user/group access to view consent markers, consent status, and consent forms linked to an asset. Additionally, the user can edit consent forms based on templates to which they have access.
• Manage consent status - Gives the user/group access to view consent markers, consent status, and consent forms linked to an asset. The user can edit consent forms based on templates they have access to. Additionally, the user can manage consent form assets. 

3. If you would like to configure consent filters for the archive, select a Consent filter from the dropdown list in the Filters section.
   

    

4. Select Save.
