Table of Contents

Configure the action Example

The Enqueue Add Content Item to Shares action automatically adds Content Items to shares when the conditions in a Business Rule are met.

You can add content to an existing share or enable Auto Create Shares to automatically create a new share when one is needed. This can be useful for automatically distributing content without requiring users to create shares or add Content Items manually.

Configure the action

  1. Open Settings and go to Business Rules.
  2. Select Add to add a new Business Rule.
  3. Enter a name for the Business Rule.
  4. Configure the Trigger Points, Conditions, and Transformations for the Business Rule. These values determine when a Content Item should be added to a share.
  5. Under Actions, add Enqueue Add Content Item to Shares.
  6. Configure the action:
    • Name of Share: Enter the name of the share to which Content Items should be added. This can be an existing or new share.
    • Max Content in Share: Set the maximum number of Content Items that can be added to a share.
    • Auto Create Shares: Enable this option to automatically create a new share when the Content Item cannot be added to the current share due to the maximum number of Content Items being reached.
    • Output format IDs: Select the formats in which content can be downloaded from the share.
  7. Select Save.

When the Business Rule is triggered, and its conditions are met, Fotoware Alto checks whether the Content Item can be added to the specified share. If the share has reached the configured Max Content in Share limit and Auto Create Shares is enabled, a new share is created automatically. If Auto Create Shares is not enabled, the Content Item is not added to a share.

Example

For example, if Max Content in Share is set to 50, up to 50 Content Items can be added to the share. When another Content Item meets the Business Rule conditions, the share limit is reached. If Auto Create Shares is enabled, Fotoware Alto automatically creates a new share and adds the Content Item to it. If Auto Create Shares is not enabled, the Content Item is not added to a share.
