Prerequisite Migrating configurations

A cloud-based Fotostation Configuration Server is available. This service replaces the Configuration Server hosted by Operations Center (OPC) in Fotoware On-Premises.

To simplify the migration of configurations from Fotoware On-Premises to Fotoware Veloz, you can use the migration tool in Fotostation. This tool will transfer all the configurations on ‘as is’ basis. You can manually make necessary changes to archives and actions (such as updating archive URLs and selecting pools). After transferring the configurations, you can configure user assignments.

Prerequisite

Before you start the migration, ensure you can download the configurations from the On-Premises server. You can do this in the User administration dialog. For more information, see Creating users and assigning them to a configuration.

Migrating configurations

  1. Open the migration tool from the main menu.
  • Windows: File > Manage configurations > Migrate Configurations to Veloz
  • Mac: Fotostation > Manage configurations > Migrate Configurations to Veloz
  1. Enter the URL for the On-Premises source server. A green check mark will appear to indicate the server is valid.
  2. Enter the URL for the destination server. A green check mark will appear to indicate the server is valid.
  3. Select Start migration.
