This topic explains how to play back audio clips in Fotostation.

Audio playback in the grid

Audio files can be played back in the grid by clicking on the little play icon on the thumbnail.

Audio playback in the metadata editor

Fotostation groups digital camera pictures with voice annotations in wave format, so you see them as a single file with a playback icon in the grid. (This only works with local archives, not archives controlled by Index Manager.)

When opening one or more assets for editing in the metadata editor, voice memos are played back automatically by default when a picture with a voice annotation is selected. Automatic playback can be disabled by opening the Audio menu in the metadata editor and toggling the Automatic playback option. To manually start and stop audio file playback while in the text editor, click on the thumbnail representation and press Space to start and stop playback.
