Fotoware Alto is updated continuously. Releases ship as features and fixes are ready - there is no fixed schedule.

The vast majority of releases are deployed without any downtime. Occasionally, a release includes infrastructure updates or data migrations that require a short maintenance window. These releases are announced in advance on the Fotoware Alto status page. 

Rollout for releases that require downtime

Releases requiring a maintenance window are rolled out region by region:

Maintenance windows within each region

Monday to Friday: 00:00–06:00 and 22:00–00:00
Saturday and Sunday: throughout the day

Each customer instance experiences its own brief downtime during the transition. Instances are updated independently and do not affect one another. The downtime is usually from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the customer's complexity.
 

Integrations and SDKs

Breaking changes to integrations and APIs are kept to a minimum. Integrators are notified well in advance of any changes that require updates on their side.
