Purging template

Learn how to use the purging template to automatically delete images that are no longer needed, such as unpublished content or expired content.

26. March 2025

Elaine Foley

The purge feature streamlines your workflow by automating the deletion of assets, saving you valuable time. It also enhances efficiency by helping you maintain a well-organized system, eliminating assets that are unnecessary or unlikely to be used.

  1. On the Dashboard, select Create flow.
  2. Enter a name for the flow and select Purging from the Template drop-down list.
  3. Select Create.
  4. Select the When a scheduled event occurs node.
  5. Select Hourly or Weekly from the Frequency drop-down list.
Hourly - enter the hourly interval in the Hours field. If you set, for example, a 2-hour interval, the task will run at 00:00, 02:00, 04:00, and so on, every day.
Weekly - select the day (or days) from the Days drop-down list and enter the time in the Time field.
  6. Select the Get assets node.
  7. Select the pool (from which to retrieve the assets) from the drop-down list.
  8. Enter your search input For more information, see Using dynamic tags in value fields for search filters - Documentation & User Guides | Fotoware.
  9. Select Save.
  10. Select the Delete assets node to delete the assets.
