Inviting other users to manage an SMA

Several people in an organization can be given access to manage the SMA and obtain product keys for your licensed products.

To do so, they need to create a personal account on the FotoWare Customer Portal and tie that account to the company SMA as described in the preceding topic.

However, they can also be invited by a person whose account has already been associated with the company SMA, as described below.

Inviting others to manage an SMA

A person responsible for managing SMAs can invite other people in the organization to manage SMAs and licenses. Invitees will have the same rights to manage and fulfill SMAs, look up product keys and export these keys to a CSV file as needed. When invited, they will receive an email that lets them create an account at fotoware.com and automatically ties the company SMA to their user account.

 

Before the person responsible for managing SMAs can invite others, he needs to be logged on to the FotoWare Customer Portal.

Then navigate to Company in the top menu and click on the Contact persons block. That page lists all the people currently associated with the company SMA:

To add a new contact person, click on the Add new button below the list of contact persons. Then fill in the information about the new contact person:

When the user information is saved, an email will be sent to the invitee. By following the directions in that email he or she can create their personal account on the FotoWare Customer Portal and will be given rights to manage the SMA.

How can I remove a contact person?

If you wish to remove a person from the contact list, for example if that person no longer works in your organization, please contact FotoWare Sales to update your records.
