FotoStation creates thumbnails and previews very slowly on systems that have been calibrated with X-Rite color management tools.
FotoStation has a known incompatibility with X-Rite color management profiles. Hence, if FotoStation is set to use any X-Rite color management profile or is configured to use the system default profile (which, after X-Rite calibration would be an X-Rite profile) for thumbnails and previews, the generation of thumbnails will seem very slow.
Configure FotoStation to use a different color management profile for thumbnails and previews.
To do so:
- Open the File menu and choose Configuration. (FotoStation - Configuration on Mac)
- Expand the General node and choose Color Management
- Disable Use FotoWare Default Profile for thumbnails and previews and choose another, non-X-Rite profile from the list.
- Click OK to save the changes and close the configuration window.
