Configuring a permanent redirect from your domain name to the FotoWeb site
When setting up FotoWeb to use Internet Information Services (IIS), once the site is up and running you can access the site at e.g. http://fotoweb.yourcompany.com/fotoweb.
Simply going to the domain, omitting /fotoweb in the url will typically only display a generic IIS graphic to let users know that IIS is running on that server.
Microsoft has created a TechNet article that explains how you can configure a permanent redirect on your site.
This can be used to direct all requests to e.g. http://fotoweb.yourcompany.com/ to http://fotoweb.yourcompany.com/fotoweb to make it easier for users to access the site.
