A Simplified Model Translate Your Model to Picturepark 1. What type of content will you manage? (LAYER) 2. What information do you need per type? (FIELDS ON THE LAYER) 3. What means the information - what is a brand? 4. What are additional information per tag?

You can build your data model from scratch, as well as your permission sets. You are completely free in doing so but we suggest talking to a Picturepark solution specialist to get some best practice advice. If you decide to do it yourself, you should ask yourself several questions before starting to configure the Content Platform.

A Simplified Model

Ask yourself the following questions:

Translate Your Model to Picturepark

1. What type of content will you manage? (LAYER)

Input 1: Corporate Identity
Input 2: Brands
Input 3: Products

2. What information do you need per type? (FIELDS ON THE LAYER)

Corporate Identity Brand (Tagbox), Department (Tagbox)
Brands Location (Tagbox), Date (Date)
Products Family (Tagbox)

3. What means the information - what is a brand?

(LIST) (LIST ITEM)
Corporate Identity Brand Picturepark, VIT
Brands Department Marketing, PR
Products Location Aarau

4. What are additional information per tag?

Corporate Identity Brand Picturepark Name, Abbreviation, Markets (Tagbox)
Brands Department Marketing Name, Department Head, Team members, Location
Products Location Aarau City, Country, Market

You can collect this information however you like. You can build an Entity Relationship Model, use Excel or your desired mind mapping tool. Whatever helps you to get an overview of the content you have and the information you need.

  1. Layers (basically your content types) to create.
  2. Fields per Layer (including the Lists for the Tagbox fields)
  3. Lists and List Items (basically every tagbox)
  4. Fields per List (which may link to other Lists again)
