There's no sound when playing back .vob video files

Symptom
When playing back .vob files the video plays but there is no sound.
Reason
VOB files are a DVD media format. While the video module in FotoWeb can transcode the video to a format that plays back in the browser, it is not licensed to transcode the soundtrack, which is in AC3 format. That's why the video will play but the sound is missing. There is currently no solution for this issue.
