Fotoware Veloz - July 2026 update
Deployment
This release is being gradually deployed and will be available on all tenants soon.
Improvements
-
Consent Management search and filtering
The new Consent Management search and filtering feature provides filtering of assets by consent criteria.
Consent filters can be made available in the Navigation Pane, allowing users to refine search results based on consent status and consent categories. Administrators can create reusable Consent Filters and apply them to archives or assign them to specific users and groups, enabling more granular consent-based access control.
Additionally, Consent Management and Consent filter columns can now be displayed in the Archives overview (in Site Configuration), so you can view the settings you need without opening each archive individually.
For more information, see Consent Management filters, Consent Management archive settings, and Creating consent categories.
-
Uploads
- You can now edit built-in fields (Title, Description, Keywords, Rating, Status, and Notes) directly in the upload dialog. These fields are available in the new General section. To avoid duplicate fields in the upload dialog, review your metadata views and remove any built-in fields that have been added to regions. For more information, see Creating a metadata view.
- The web uploader file size limit is increased from 25 GB to 50 GB, allowing larger assets to be uploaded directly to Fotoware Veloz.
-
Site Configuration - Users and Groups
- You can now search for a user or group by their user or group ID.
- You can now deselect multiple users at once instead of removing them one by one.
- The search field in Users/Groups now has a clear (×) button.
-
Accent-insensitive search
Search now supports accent-insensitive matching, making it easier to find relevant results regardless of diacritics or language-specific characters.
-
Enhanced support for high-bitrate video files
Support for higher video and audio bitrates has been added, improving handling of high-quality media.
-
Improved PDF preview generation
PDF previews are now more reliable and deliver better output quality.
-
HIF (Canon) file support
Added support for HIF files. For more information, see Supported file formats in Fotoware Veloz.
Fixed issues
The following issues are fixed in this release:
- When creating activity export reports, error messages displayed timestamps in the server's timezone instead of the user's local time. This is now fixed, improving the accuracy of reported error data.
- Previously, users could be created with duplicate email addresses. Fotoware Veloz now prevents duplicate email addresses and displays an informative error message.
- Archive comments are now displayed according to the folder hierarchy.
- Batch-editing metadata with multiple lines no longer strips line breaks.
- The Upload dialog no longer lets you submit when required fields are empty after clearing them.
- Built-in field labels in the upload dialog no longer show incorrect names from linked metadata fields.
- Adding comments to an archive no longer fails with an error.
- The annotation indicator (count badge) now appears correctly on assets again.
- Sorting users and groups by name is now case-sensitive.
- The Pro interface no longer stalls after extended use of taxonomy trees.
- Image thumbnails attached to asset comments no longer show as broken.
- Group permissions layout no longer breaks in languages with longer labels.
- iPhone video frame rates now display correctly.
Known issues
- In some cases, the user interface indicates that an upload failed and offers the Retry option, even though the upload succeeded.
- Fotoware Mobile - Consent filters do not appear in the Navigation Pane.
