Supported audio and video files for decoding
This topic provides an overview of the video/audio codecs and container formats (file extensions) supported for transcoding audio and video files in FotoWeb.

Note: The FFmpeg library required to decode video formats is not included with the Fotoware installers. For information on how to install it manually on the Fotoware server, see How to install FFmeg for FotoWeb, Index Manager, and Color Factory.
What if your codec or container/format isn't listed?
If you are uncertain if your video files are supported and cannot determine this using the lists below, or if you have older video codecs and container formats that you are uncertain of, contact Fotoware Support and send us a sample for testing.
For a video or audio file to be supported in FotoWeb the container format (extension) and all the codecs within the file must be in the list below.
