What are the differences between a standard and extended actions?
Standard actions
Standard actions are available to all users. They include all the functionality that was available to users in FotoWeb 7 and, in that respect, cover legacy functionality.
With a standard action, you can:
- Delete the original asset
- Transfer an asset to a destination (File system / FTP(S) and as an email attachment)
- Optional interactivity to allow renaming assets and editing asset metadata
Extended actions
Extended actions offer the functionality available in standard actions as well as several additional features. Extended actions are available to users with a Fotoware Main or Pro license. Users with a standard license do see these actions in the UI.
For more information about extended actions, see Creating and configuring actions.
Extended Pro actions
These actions are only available to users with a Fotoware Pro license, and the functionality is only available in the FotoWeb Pro user interface. Extended Pro actions offer the crop functionality in addition to the Extended actions functionality.
